Doing business with the Ministry

The Ministry purchases a wide variety of works, goods and services, which must meet stated requirements. They must also be supplied and performed at a reasonable cost and within the time agreed. Rules are needed to ensure the purchasing process is conducted properly. The Ministry has a decentralised purchasing system with central support.

You may be in a position to do business with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If so, you need to know how the Ministry’s budget holders award contracts. You may also want to know about current contract award procedures and whom to contact for further information about them.

Contract awards

Awards of European contracts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are published on both the Aanbestedingskalender (tendering calendar) and the public procurement website of EC Publications Office, Tenders Electronic Daily (TED). The Aanbestedingskalender (tendering calendar) offers information on the European contract award, including the tenderdocuments. A link to the above mentioned sites is available under the section more information of this website.

If you are interested in any of the contracts, you should follow the procedure or contact the department or person referred to in the contract notice. Documents concerning Ministry of Foreign Affairs contracts are available only in the language in which they were drawn up. No translations are available.
