Rosenthal meets with Czech foreign minister and Dutch business community in Czech Republic
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Uri Rosenthal, has met in Prague with his Czech counterpart, Karel Schwarzenberg. The Ministers discussed stepping up cooperation between the Benelux countries and the Visegrád Group – the regional alliance made up of the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
The Netherlands and the Czech Republic also want to work together to support the opposition in Ukraine and Belarus. The foreign ministers pledged to explore the available options.
Mr Rosenthal also met with representatives of around 20 Dutch companies active in the Czech Republic. He spoke about opportunities that exist in the Czech market as a part of the EU internal market. The Netherlands is the Czech Republic’s second-largest trading partner after Germany.
